Fox Island, June 2-4, 2007

Monday we attempted a boat tour to NW Fjord but the 8ft seas kept us in Resurrection Bay. A Humpback whale breached several times less than 50 ft from our boat.

This is the closest breach anyone on board had ever seen. I had my 300mm lens which was too much.

The noise was deafening.

A Helicopter!
